These three Pronghorn Antelope were milling around on the side of the highway outside of Shoshone. With no other cars around, I quickly pulled off lowering my window to photograph the small group from across two lanes. They, of course were very nervous about my presence. They paused briefly in “curiosity” then bolted in flight to the high desert horizon. Besides their flight behavior, Pronghorn Antelope show fright or alertness in their mane and white rump hairs standing up.
The hair on the back of my neck does the same thing when I am scared.
